Dombit International School (“the School”, “we”, “us”) respects the privacy of every visitor to school.dombit.uz (“the Website”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Personal Data” and other applicable legislation.

1. Who we are

The Website is operated by Dombit International School, a private school located at 81, To'raqo'rg'on street, Namangan city, 160100, Uzbekistan. The School is the operator of personal data collected through the Website.

If you have any questions about this Policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us using the details at the end of this page.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review and process admission applications and communicate with parents and guardians about the admissions process.
  • Respond to enquiries, requests and feedback submitted through the Website.
  • Consider candidates for employment and contact shortlisted applicants.
  • Send school news and updates to newsletter subscribers.
  • Operate, secure and improve the Website, including protecting it from spam and abuse.
  • Comply with our legal obligations and keep records required by law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you.

4. How information is delivered and stored

Admission applications are stored in a secure database that can be accessed only by authorised School staff through a protected administration panel.

When you submit any form on the Website, a notification containing the details you entered is delivered to a private, staff-only Telegram channel so that the relevant team can respond promptly. Contact, career, suggestion and newsletter submissions are delivered in this way and are not stored in a separate Website database.

Our Website and databases are hosted by reputable hosting providers that maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.

5. Sharing your information

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

  • With School staff who need it to perform their duties, such as the admissions, HR and communications teams.
  • With service providers that help us operate the Website and deliver notifications, including hosting providers, Telegram (for internal notifications) and Google (for analytics). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • When required by law, court order or a lawful request from a government authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the School, our students, staff or others.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Website, for example which pages are most popular and how long visitors stay. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects information including your IP address, device and browser details and pages visited. Google processes this information according to its own privacy policy.

The Website also stores your language preference in your browser's local storage. Session cookies are used only for authorised staff signing in to the administration panel.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings and can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the Website.

7. Children's information

Admission applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. When you submit an application, you confirm that you are authorised to provide the student's information and that you consent to its use for the purposes described in this Policy.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 18 through the Website. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention

We keep admission applications for as long as necessary to complete the admissions process and, for enrolled students, for the duration of their studies and any period required by law or for record-keeping.

Enquiries, feedback and job applications are kept only as long as necessary to respond to them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your rights” below).

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that restrict the administration panel to authorised staff accounts, and rate limiting to protect our forms from abuse. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you or your child.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information, unless we are required to keep it.
